What To Wear?
Any form of non-slip, closed-toe shoes; the kitchen floor can be slippery. Full length pants are required, jeans or cotton slacks work well. Chef wear is more comfortable if you already own it (do not go out and buy it). A T-Shirt is sufficient since you will be wearing one of our chef coats. A cap or hat of any type is required; if your hair is longer than shoulder length it must be restrained.
What Time To Arrive?
Your day starts at 9:00 AM, please be prompt as it will be a full day. If you need coffee to jump start your day we are here to accommodate. Plan on wrapping it all up at around 3:00 PM.
What to expect?
We will begin with a tour of the restaurant. You will see every inch you thought never existed.
A detailed explanation of the operation will accompany the tour, which will cover ordering, storage, food preparation, sanitation and front of the house operation. During lunch service you will be free to roam the kitchen and observe each work station in action, sample food and ask questions. PLEASE ask questions. Everyone is looking to get something different from this experience. Help us make your day the very best! You do not need to bring any equipment such as knives or utensils. We have all that you need. At the end of the day a picture of you and the kitchen staff will be taken to commemorate your day.
What’s For Dinner?
After going home to rest up we invite you back for a complimentary dinner that night. Experience an evening of relaxation after your hard day of work in our kitchen. Dinner for two is the finale of your DAY IN THE KITCHEN. Bring a loved one for great food, friendly service from some new friends and a few tokens of our appreciation. We have assembled a goody bag for you which includes a chef’s coat embroidered with the Coquette Café insignia and a bottle of wine chosen especially for you.
We are confident you will enjoy your DAY IN THE KITCHEN and flattered that you will be taking a little bit of us into your home when preparing meals for you and your loved ones.
